About us

Lewes Castle Cabs is a trading name of Lewes Taxis Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 13573490. Registered office: 31 Lansdown Place, Lewes, BN7 2JU. References to "we" and "us" mean Lewes Taxis Ltd.

Bookings

You can book by phone, WhatsApp, the app or the website form. A website request is not a confirmed booking until we confirm it by phone, message or email.

Fares

Local journeys are charged on the meter at the tariff set by Lewes District Council. Airport and long-distance journeys are charged at the fixed price agreed when you book, which includes any tolls or crossing charges on the route. Airport parking or drop-off charges are added only if we tell you when you book.

Waiting time

Please be ready at the booked time. We may charge for waiting beyond a few minutes at the pickup point. For airport collections, we track your flight and allow time from landing to reach arrivals.

Cancellations

Please let us know as soon as you can if your plans change. We may charge for cancellations made after the car has set off, or at short notice for airport journeys.

Your journey

Seat belts must be worn. We may refuse or end a journey if a passenger is abusive, violent or too drunk to travel safely. Cleaning charges may apply if a vehicle is soiled.

Lost property

Items found in our cars are kept safely and handled in line with our licence conditions. Ring us with the time and route of your journey.
